I'm Brittany Saulnier. I’m an educator, scientist, naturalist, coach, traveler, equestrian and writer. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries, Wildlife and Biological Conservation and a Master of Science degree in Human Dimensions of Forestry. I traveled to places like India, Belize and Indonesia to study how people learn about and live with the environment. I have been in the classroom teaching middle school science and taught environmental education.
Bright Oak Education was born from the realization that no matter what career aspirations I pursued, these seemingly separate paths were actually connected.
Through the In My Backyard blog, my goal is to make learning about nature approachable, attainable and common practice.
